Family Portrait Session – Mt Warrigal Jetty – Wollongong Portrait Photography

We went out to Mt Warrigal jetty yesterday afternoon to photograph a lovely family foursome. Anthony & Lauren and their two daughters Laelia & Tahlia were so playful and had been counting down the days to the photo shoot. With the cold weather against us but the afternoon light for us, I thought we’ll pull it off! :)

So to the jetty it was, even Anthony’s dad, Tony, jumped in a few shots.. he also made a good assistant. The sounds, noises and faces he made to make the girls laugh while he was standing out of the shot were unforgettable. He sounded like a hungry, flying-purple-people-eater.. which brings me back to the primary school days where we would sing along to that song.. Mr Wright and his acoustic guitar. But overall, the 1 hour flew like you wouldn’t believe, Tahlia’s nose was red raw after the shoot and Laelia was too excited in the last 15 minutes about the donuts Grandpa Tony had bought as a reward if the girls has behaved during the photo shoot. So half way through the shoot he caved and the girls had a tab bit of donut on their faces but nothing a little wipe down couldn’t fix lol

The first shot, I think is so spontaneous I just had to open up the set with it.

Now this shot below, hit record high numbers in comments on facebook above the rest of the shots in the album. It happens everytime.. when ever I capture something like this it ALWAYS makes me crack a subtle smile, followed by a big grin then a small chuckle as I then register exactly how Laelia’s laugh was.

Variation shot but still very cute..

Lauren had told me whilst picking the location for their shoot that this jetty held a sentimental value for Anthony. He had grown up in the area and for Lauren’s baby shower years ago was given a panoramic shot of the sunset on this jetty. The shot was mounted on white and I believe it was shot by the Illawarra’s Dee Kramer.

Can’t forget the parents.. after all they’ve been through in the last 5 years they deserve to be taken back to once what was.. just the two of them..

Backlight ..mmm.. Ok I think I ‘mmm’ alot when I blog, I better see someone about that.

The three generations Tony, Anthony & Laelia ..can you see the resemblance? lol

That’s all for today! I have a slight case of Mondayitis ..

World Cup report: Poor England – Lost 4-1 to Germany. That’s really got to hurt.
