It’s finally here!
Our fabulous Facebook Beauty Search Competition Winner, Oceana Strachan and her behind the scenes video with us!
We held a Facebook Beauty Search Competition a few months ago to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation .. It was just a matter of a “like” vote count .. Beauty was a no brainer for everyone who entered :)
We had a great day shooting on site, it started raining half way through our shoot so the girls from Unity Hair were happy to lend a hand with their yummy striped wall! ..

News flash.
It’s been 4 years. My brother, Ian, 25, is getting married to his dear love Melanie tomorrow.
Ever have those couples in your life who have something magical? Something indescribable? ..You know the kind of love that makes you want to vomit.. the mushy stuff, y’know?
Well this is what they have. They spend every waking hour together, are each others halves (a bit like ying yangs), and have been through thick and thin together. Melanie even survived the sister in law test (yes that was me muhaha!) ..

Hi there!
So 2011 was crazy. 2012 will be even crazier.
A past bride of mine once said, “I don’t make new years resolutions, I make Goals”.
She inspires me. If you’d met her you’d know what I mean. She’s been on an amazing journey.. she showed me a photo of her old self a few months ago. Her name is Amanda. She was determined to lose x amount of weight. The photo I saw wasn’t the same girl.

I love what I do.
Blog neglect for the past month on my part, yes. Loss of passion for photography, heck no. *insert cheesy grin*

So there I was .. Last night.. Sobbing.
Not crying. Sobbing. I’m talking tears gushing out of my eye sockets, whining that resembled the Cri du chat and soon enough eyes that outshone my childhood black more fish, Amber, by a mile and a half.

Hi all!
Last night we all tuned into watch our Fabulous bride Belynda and her new husband Max Nichols, on the Four Weddings show. It was funny seeing the day from another perspective, having been always behind the camera with my forehead glued to my camera’s LCD screen. Their theme was “Mission Impossible” hehe ;) well with the chopper being the boys ride to their Panorama House ceremony why wouldn’t it be :)
Of course being as awesome as they are, won the luxury holiday and placed first. Insert Smiles.

Hi All!
To quickly wrap up Sunday’s post .. I shot with the lovely Kim on Saturday in Sydney and was drooling at the quality of some new lighting gear I invested in at PMA on Friday. Basic 80×100 softbox set up. 45 degree angle to camera right.
New retouching inspired me to put Kimmy’s perfect face to the Photoshop test.. Here’s the before and after.. (Mouse over image to toggle between before and afters). Huge thanks to Kimmy for allowing me to publish the raw image out of camera :) Stay posted for more image highlights.
