Wedding – The Rocks – Illawarra Wedding Photographer

The wedding day of Andres and Stephanie.. where do I start? I walked in to her house to find a quirky bridal party, a beautiful house (minus the scorching skylight that almost burnt off my face hehe) with pre-wedding behaviour ;) as well as a bride who couldn’t wait to walk down that aisle.. I’ll have you know now, Stephanies sister, Brooke, is so down to earth and now share a very close relationship.. via FaceBook. Haha well it still counts. Actually come to think of it, technology isn’t too far off from turning us into low self-esteemed, anti-social people. Hmm.. well my dear brother is almost there.. you know with the whole wanting to play online games with people in America and wearing a headset.

Enough chit-chat, let’s unravel the wedding day of Steph and Andres..

The Flowers

And some last words of wisdom from Stephanie’s father.. one of my favourite shots. Such connection and emotion, their hands holding and steph’s giggle.. Had to take down the saturation a little to reduce the distraction of the cars in the background but hey you can’t be choosy with photojournalism.

Last words of wisdom

Steph and Andres taking their first giggles as husband and wife .. hehe

LOL's

Took Andres and Steph around the church to take a few shots, the walls of the Church were beautiful, the gardens were so colourful and would have stayed there for longer if it were up to me.. but weddings are known for their quick timeline demand so let’s so muck with the system :)

Candid-ness.. woo hoo!

Haha .. yes I have this on my main weddings gallery.. But how could you not! :) It’s fun, cheeky and the crowd absolutely makes the shot.. Love it when crowds love photos as much as I do, that means we get something like this! yeww! My little apprentice he was, an artist in the making.

Now that's a photographer!

It’s funny because half eyes are closed.. “warts n’ all” they say! I just had to put it in there, love the fun ones.

just a fun one

The Car

Beautiful! ..Oh I meant the view. Well the bride and groom go alright too ;)

Bondi Lookout

And a swell moment of girli-ness ..The cheekiest bridal party you will ever meet.

The girls

I think  Steph felt anxious during this shot. 2 minutes before this shot the wind had snagged the veil right out of her hair.. not a very good thing to mess with a bride on her wedding day. So anyway here we have it, a fun shot with one of Australia’s most beautiful monuments in the background. You know it brings me back to the time our year 11 music class went to the opera house to watch the top HSC performances from the previous year.. we were seated right at the very top.. behind the stage :( .. which meant we spent the entire time watching the back of the performers heads.. but I suppose you only need your ears to observe their talent right? ..*sigh

At the Rocks

Now where have you seen this before? .. ahh yes the toyota jump wedding shot. After I did this shot I promised myself I wouldn’t do this again LOL .. Lovely wedding shot, you just see it in everyone’s wedding album.

The boys

LOL! Shot of the day.. to this day this is probably my most favourite wedding moment captured. Do I really need to say more? When I do this at every wedding then I’m happy :) ..it’s just down right moments like these you want to remember!  To view the full story behind this photo visit the wedding gallery here: http://www.ellaphotography.com.au/sore-feet-effects-walking-hours-location-portraits-sydney-wedding-photography/ (yeah I know the URL is huge lol)

Sore feet

And what’s a wedding without a drop of blood.. … … ok I’ve never heard that one before, but this one is a special wedding :)

Bloody foot. literally.

Bride and Groom taking a walk along the boardwalk ..simple but still very cool :)

Taking a walk..

And the last stop at Saltwater beach for some old classic style beach photos.

Saltwater beach

Glamour filter + just before the kiss = awwwww

moment

And now that is a man who will make the perfect husband, only hour after saying I do Steph has him carrying her shoes :) On our way back to the car heading to reception, saw this shot and I thought ‘and there it is!’ ..Keeping up tradition of taking your shoes off after photos.. ok well maybe not for everyone but most weddings I’ve done result in at least one strap being unhooked.

well trained husband in the making :)

That wraps it up for today’s blog post.. Now I have a blog on here I don’t have to restrict myself to 1/2 photos from each wedding to be posted on my site. Whoop!

See you next post! ..Your wedding photographer, Ela!
